Dear Parents, Guardians and Volunteers
A very warm welcome from myself and our entire staff to all families especially our new families commencing schooling this year at MSS. It is certainly a very interesting start to the 2022 school year. The Maleny State School staff, students, parents and community have been awesome in the face of change and unpredictability over the last 2 years. I am encouraged by the resilience we have all shown and see this as simply another change that we will all adjust to together, to ensure our children's safety and education is our first priority.
I have attached a letter informing you of what the start of the school year will look like for our school, your children and yourselves.

As you would be well aware information/processes can change very quickly at the moment, so please continue to check any new information that is communicated from the school. I will continue to communicate any important or new information in relation to the commencement of school as it comes to hand.
School Uniforms:
Our P&C will open the Uniform Shop as per normal for parents to purchase uniforms before school starts on the dates and times below.
Please wear a mask, socially distance and check in with QR Code at the uniform shop at time of purchase.
Monday 17 January 9:00am – 10:00am
Wednesday 19 January 9:00am – 10:00am
Friday 21 January 9:00am – 10:00am
You may like to go online to the P&C Store and order 'Click and Collect' to save yourself time and collect ordered items on above times https://www.malenypandc.com.au/s/shop . Note the Uniform Shop will also be open on Friday 28 Jan, 4 Feb and as normal school Fridays from 8:30am – 9:00am. Note we are still awaiting one of our main orders hence some polo sizes are not available both on line and at the uniform shop (whatever the online store reflects will be the same as the uniform shop).
Our P&C workers are all volunteers who I thank in advance, please also share this courtesy with them as they support your smooth transition in uniforms to the school year.
Please remember our Uniform Policy requires: Black runners, white socks and navy shorts/skorts.
Booklists (are not coordinated by the P&C) for each year level can be purchased at the Maleny Newsagency in the main street, you will find these on the schools web page- Enrolling at our school.
Next P&C Meeting will be on Wednesday 9 February at 6:00pm (face to face) and by Skype, no better year to commit to attending 1 meeting, looking forward to seeing you there.
