A special Remembrance Day Service lead by our School Captains was held for Prep to Year 7 at 10:30am in our hall today. Students observed a minute silence to remember those that died or suffered in past conflicts around the world.
This year is not only the 95th anniversary of the Armistice on 11 November which ended the First World War, but also the 20th anniversary of the interment of the Unknown Australian Soldier in the Australian War Memorial’s Hall of Memory in Canberra. Our Year Seven students this year on
their Canberra Camp visited the Unknown Soldier’s grave and read the 102,400 names listed on the Roll of Honor. Many students could find the names of their relatives in this list of service personnel who had died in past conflicts.
