War on Waste

28/03/2019

It is lovely to be back in the garden with the children. The Prep classes have been learning about our four bins and how to sort their rubbish. In all eating areas we have some very responsible Bin Monitors that are helping to give advice and explaining the correct procedures.

It is wonderful to see the students taking responsibilityand sharing feedback about how everyone is going. The two Prep classes have visited the garden and they inspected the big compost bins. They were able to sample different herbs and to dig for potatoes and pull out an enormous radish.

Members of the garden club planted out new vegetables and herbs in our old lunchbox tubs.

It is very colourful and great to reuse the tubs to grow new produce. We have so much spinach growing that next week we will try outa new recipe and make spinach parcels.

Kind Regards

Lou Walsh
